Level 3 Term 2

WHY DO BUGS BUG US?

This term children will classify minibeasts into insects, arachnids, crustaceans etc. They will investigate life cycles, habitats and structures of the minibeast and whether they are harmful or helpful. This will involve inquiry projects, individual investigations and class work. We anticipate visiting the Melbourne Museum and  are  having some stick insects delivered to the school to observe in our classrooms during the term. We will learn about their breeding habits and hope to adopt the insects out to enthusiastic families at the end of term 2.

Our maths this term will be about number with a focus on decimals and fractions.
We will also have extra ICT lessons this term where we will learn how to use some media programs including Audacity and Moviemaker.
