TERM 4   LEVEL 4

In term 4 our inquiry question is “What is sacred to Aborigines and why?” We will be looking at Aboriginal culture and the cultural significance of places such as Uluru. Another area we will explore is racism in sport and how racial vilification rules have come about.

We will also be looking at how to manage money with a focus on how to do a weekly budget. Hopefully the children will know better than to propel us into a future global financial crisis.

The children will continue to use their Science journals when we explore physical and chemical changes in substances. They will also learn about reversible and irreversible changes.

In technology the children will continue to explore gears using Lego Technic.

Our camp at Derby Hill will occur in the first week back, where the children will make use of the bike riding skills they learnt in Bike Ed. We will also reschedule our street ride that was washed out on the last Thursday.

The grade 6 children will be involved in making preparations for their farewell at the end of the year.
