Term 1 Level 4

HOW DO WE COPE WITH THE HARSH AUSTRALIAN ENVIRONMENT?

We start off 2009 by looking at the natural disasters that occur in Australia and how people deal with the devastation that they cause.

We will also be looking at the different environments around Australia and how humans have affected them. The children will also look at ways that they can help to preserve our environment for future generations.

The children will be starting interschool sport in week 2. More information will be sent home in the first week. The children can start borrowing from the library in the first week. The book supply bags will make perfect library bags.

Homework will begin in the second week. It will be given out each Monday and needs to be returned on Friday. All grades will be doing the same homework.

Any grade 6 parents who would like to enrol their child in a non-government school need to approach the schools directly regarding enrolment. The sooner you do this the better for your child.

Transition information for grade 6 children will be sent out as soon as it becomes available. Don't forget that you can find information about a variety of secondary schools, both government and non-government, on our school website. Click on this link 6/7 Transition to get there.
